MASSERIA FOR SALE WITH VIEWS OF THE WHITE TOWN OF OSTUNI AND THE SEA, WITH OLIVE GROVE, UPPER SALENTO OF APULIA

In a prestigious context, dominated by blue and white: the cobalt blue of the sky, the crystalline blue of the sea on the horizon and the snow-white of the houses, the small cottages; a painting that seems to have come out of Monet's sweet brushstrokes, a precious jewel, unique and rare, that the Gente di Mare real estate agency is pleased to offer for sale.

PRESENTATION OF THE MASSERIA: HIGHLIGHTS

A diamond set at the foot of the renowned White City of Ostuni, a rare gem that on one side gazes at the historic centre, the white town par excellence, and on the other lovingly admires the crystalline sea of Apulia. An ancient masseria that makes it possible to reach the beautiful town of Ostuni and the beaches of the Adriatic coast in just a few minutes.

The masseria overlooking the blue sea and the white town centre

A residence coloured with the colours of Apulia: the green of unspoilt nature and the olive trees, the red of the earth, the brown of the trunks, the grey of the dry-stone walls, the yellow of the sunlight that illuminates this land suspended between dream and reality. The olive trees, they know the whispers and stories of each one, generous and mighty they are the story of a region, of a generation, and the splendid masseria knows it well, with its vast expanse of land of some 20,000 square metres adorned with olive, almond and fruit trees.

The true Pugliese architectural tradition echoes within the walls of the dwelling, an imposing structure consisting of a main body, with a surface area of approximately 210 square metres, spread over two levels with four independent entrances. The first level welcomes in the spacious living area with living room and kitchen while the second level opens the doors to the comfortable sleeping area. The main house has been entirely and tastefully renovated and offers five bedrooms and three bathrooms. The property is completed by a secondary building of 53 square metres.

The farmhouse in perfect Apulia Style is completely fenced in by characteristic dry-stone walls and has an artesian well for water, water and sewage connections and an electrical system.

A MASSERIA ON THE OUTSKIRTS OF THE TOWN

The Masseria della Città Bianca (White City Farmhouse) boasts a prestigious location, enjoying romantic and breathtaking views of the sea, its crystal-clear waters and the whitewashed historic centre. Windows and terrace offer a 360-degree view of the surrounding panorama, a unique panorama that makes the town of Ostuni unique. Its large surface area and strategic location make the residence a luxury accommodation facility that will welcome thousands of visitors from all over the globe.

Imagine waking up in the morning and having the sea and the historic centre of Ostuni in front of you!

It is possible with La Masseria della Città Bianca!

THE SURROUNDINGS: OSTUNI

Perched on three hills, Ostuni stands in the Itria Valley at 218 m above sea level. It is 42 km from Brindisi and 8 km from the Adriatic coast on which the Blue Flag flies.

The magic of Ostuni, the White City, is linked to the characteristic lime-painting of the old town, a practice still rigorously observed by residents. At the centre of the town stands the 15th-century Cathedral in Romanesque-Gothic style over which a large rose window with 24 rays of rare beauty stands out. Along Via Cattedrale, which divides the medieval heart of the town in two, is the former Carmelite Monastery, home to the Museum of Preclassic Civilisations of the Southern Murgia, where the cast of Delia, a pregnant woman who lived 25,000 years ago, is on display.

In Piazza Beato Giovanni Paolo II (Cathedral Square), the eighteenth-century buildings of the Bishop's Palace and the old Seminary face each other, connected by the evocative Scoppa arch. The ground floor of the Episcopal Palace houses the Diocesan Museum, which preserves and exhibits the extraordinary historical and artistic heritage of the Church of Ostuni with masterpieces of international significance. Churches and stately homes line the old town surrounded by the Aragonese walls where Porta Nova and Porta San Demetrio open.

WHAT TO SEE

From the villa, the beaches of the Adriatic Sea can be easily reached in less than 20 minutes. Costa Merlata, Villanova, Rosa Marina and Torre Santa Sabina are examples of several seaside resorts with numerous beaches, restaurants and cafes.

Continuing on towards the village of Carovigno, you will find the beautiful nature reserve of TORRE GUACETO. Here you will be captivated by the succession of free or equipped coves of fine sand. The heart of this area guards a natural paradise characterised by a low, sandy coastline bordered by dunes and interrupted, from time to time, by rocks.

You can then reach other beautiful and characteristic villages, such as:

- CISTERNINO where the Orange Flag, the Italian Touring Club's environmental tourism quality mark, flies;

- ALBEROBELLO the city of trulli, which was recognised as a World Heritage Site in 1996;

- POLIGNANO A MARE known as the Pearl of the Adriatic and distinguished by its crystal-clear sea and rock embroidered with impressive cavities;

- FASANO surrounded by masserias and centuries-old olive groves, dolmens and archaeological remains;

- CASTELLANA GROTTE at the foot of the Valle d'Itria, the city of caves owes its fame to the most famous speleological complex in Italy;

- LOCOROTONDO stands out on the Murge dei Trulli plateau with its charming circular town of characteristic white houses;

- CEGLIE MESSAPICA tangle of alleyways paved with 'chianche', whitewashed arches and ups and downs, inebriates the ancient heart of the village with the inviting aroma of the 'Cegliese biscuit';

- MARTINA FRANCA the pinnacles of the trulli, the expanses of olive groves and the white of the ancient hovels stand out in the green Itria Valley and invite discovery.

You can then discover the great and famous cities of LECCE (nicknamed the 'Florence of the South'), the city of architects, stonemasons and artists, is the city of baroque and stone embroidery, and BARI with the longest seafront promenade in Italy embellished by majestic palaces and the sea breeze blowing through the old town centre, guardian of art, flavours and colours.
